It’s gonna be a good day :)

You just know that it is going to be a good day when you receive a comment like this:

“I visited the customer for a maintenance visit last month (after a gap of nearly 5 years) and they were very surprised that there was really nothing I needed to do.  OpenInsight had run quite happily all that time with daily usage without any reported problems whatsoever.  If only the other database systems were like that.”  T.W. OpenInsight 9.3.2 Beta arrives

I am pleased to announce that OpenInsight 9.3.2 is now in it’s official beta phase after passing through a successful internal alpha phase.  This beta phase will give all Revelation OI WORKS subscribers an opportunity to download and install the beta software to test your solution in the new version and to test the numerous enhancements that you have requested over the last few weeks and months.

Revelation Software recently wrote to everyone that is registered on the beta program, so please contact info@revelation.com if you are a WORKS subscriber and you wish to trial the new version.  Please contact your usual Revelation Account Manager if you are not a WORKS subscriber and still wish to trial the new version.

Can all current beta testers please be sure to post an issues that you find to the special beta issue tracker.  It is this tracker that will ensure that your issues are resolved in the beta prior to the final commercial release.  Please also use the beta discussion base for any comments, suggestions and questions regarding the beta software.

Please also contact your usual account manager if you have ideas and suggestions for the next release (or post them directly to the suggestions database on www.revelation.com).  As we move up a gear with plans for the next release after 9.3.2 and look to a full 64-bit version in the near future, the development team will be more and more interested in what you need specifically from the OpenInsight toolset.

Thank you all in advance for your help and time in testing this new version.
